2012 Honda CR-Z
The 2012 Honda CR-Z is proof that intelligent design does not have to come at the expense of beauty. In fact, if you look under the hood, you'll find where a sports car and a hybrid meet.
Its power comes from a 1.5-liter I-4 mated with an electric motor. All CR-Zs feature a slick-shifting six-speed manual as standard equipment, although a continuously variable transmission is available. The powertrain has three modes, Eco, Normal, and Sport, which tune the hybrid system for efficiency or performance. Put the CR-Z in full Eco mode and the car can achieve fantastic gas mileage in both the city and on the highway.
With 16 alloy wheels, projector beam halogen
headlights, LED brake lights, fin-type antenna, and a large front
grille, the CR-Z broadcasts its athletic style in a big way. Inside, a
rear cargo console offers a quick and flexible storage area. Automatic
climate control, a 6 speaker audio system with USB Audio Interface and
textured aluminum pedals come standard.
